Asterisk: Walmart VS Anti Steriods Campaign

• Love Dreamer: (06/03/2009 11:49 PM): Well I was driving and saw a billboard for the anti drug campaign that used the asterisk symbol in their slogan of "don't be an asterisk" meaning "don't be another druggie." I stared at the billboard and realised that walmart uses the same symbol in their marketing and I got to thinking. It's probably just a coincidence, but it can be deeply looked into

• Love Dreamer: (06/03/2009 11:54 PM): Well if you take it simply then acording to the anti drugs campaign an asterisk means drugs or druggies. To walmart the symbol looks happier, colored yellow, and looking a little like a flower, so in their interpretation walmart is happiness. If you plainly combine the two.... Drugs = asterisk = walmart = happy. Condenced drugs = happy.

• Love Dreamer: (06/04/2009 12:00 AM): I've been wanting to find out when both corporations switched their advertising. The anti drug campaign used to be an arrow pointing up in a circle.
